Demanded 2,000 euros not to handcuff the businessman’s wife

The arrest of the three officers and chiefs of the corruption traffic police came after the wiretaps that were carried out. One thousand euros were given to police officer Edison Tabaku, near his apartment. Tabaku himself met Erges Vrioni at a bar near the Road Police Station and asked for another thousand euros, after saying « I have other people on their heads ». The accident happened on April 16 this year in Tirana, involving Anisa Vrioni, the wife of businessman Ergest Vrioni.

The first investigation into the case was carried out by the traffic police under investigation Edison Tabaku, with whom Vrion also had recognition. In this case, the SPAK says that the superiors of the effective are also implicated, Sokol Novaku, Head of the Road Accident Investigation Section and Rove Zeka, Head of the Road Police Commissariat. On April 16, 2025, a road accident occurred in the city of Tirana, where two vehicles collided with each other. The Order of Citizens’ Prohibition: ET, SN and RZ was executed by BKH, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency. During the checks performed on behalf of this criminal proceeding, the amounts of the material were seized; 2,500,000 ALL and 26 thousand euros.
