Death at an employee in Sanepid in Zakopane. Dramatic rescue operation
The nightmare in Zakopane Sanepid took place on Wednesday, May 14. One of the PSSE employees suddenly began to feel bad. It quickly turned out that he needed urgent medical assistance.
A sanitary employee in Zakopane is dead. Dramatic rescue operation
Mr. Rafał, an employee of the Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Krakow, started to help him.
« Mr. Rafał showed courage and skills. Without a moment of hesitation, he started with the help of a needy man – an employee of PSSE in Zakopane. He took rescue operations, leading to the restoration of basic life functions. The rescue operation lasted until the arrival of ZRM » – informs WSE in Krakow.
Unfortunately, the rescue operation had a tragic final. Despite the instant assistance and efforts of the doctors of the Zakopane employee of Sanepid – Piotr Bukowski – could not be saved.
His colleague tried to save the employee’s life
« Not every attempt to fight for human life is successful, but it should always be made. Remember that providing pre -medical first aid is our duty. Rafał, you showed us what humanity and responsibility means. The family of the deceased and the PSSE employees in Zakopane we submit condolences » – they were passed on the WSSE website in Krakow.
In the commentary under the entry, one of the employees pointed out that not only Mr. Rafał deserves words of recognition – the rescue operation together with him was also conducted by other employees of the Zakopane sanitary department.

The 54-year-old is said goodbye to the employees of the Zakopane sanitary department and the College of Judges in Nowy Targ, to which Piotr Bukowski belonged.
« We would like to inform you with deep sadness and regret that on May 14, 2025, our colleague and judge, Piotr Bukowski, known to everyone as Buczek. He was not only an irreplaceable member of our judicial community, but above all a good man and a cordial colleague. Family and loved ones we make sincere expressions of sympathy and support at this difficult time » – they were told.
