De Lijn increases prices sensitively from 1 April: Standard ticket costs 3 euros

On April 1, the Flemish transport company De Lijn will raise the prices of all products. A standard ticket goes up from 2.50 euros to 3 euros.

Two weeks ago, the Flemish government recorded the rates framework for the transport company. She decided that the average of all ticket prices should rise 18.37 percent in order to absorb the index of recent years.

De Lijn has now completed that framework. The price of a ten -ride card increases from 17 to 21 euros. That of a fifty journey card from 75 to 90 euros. A day ticket goes from 7.5 euros to 9 euros and a day ticket for a child from 4 to 4.5 euros.

The rise is kept limited for the Buzzy Pazz youth subscription. For 18 to 24-year-olds, the price even stays at the same level, at the government's request.

Social rates are also rising limited. A Subscription Transport Guarantee (VG) for a year will cost 54 euros, a subscription increased allowance (VT) 66 euros. These are the only rates that are still recorded by the government.

A number of practical matters will also change from 1 April. For example, the operator cost goes from a SMS ticket from 0.15 euros to 0.25 euros. The validity of products on an electronic map shortens to 1 year.
