De Lijn expects that Tuesday, during the strike at the public services, an average of 63 percent of buses and trams will run on average. The public transport company reports this on Saturday afternoon.

In the province of Antwerp, 54 percent of buses and trams would run. In East Flanders it concerns 77 percent and in West Flanders 67 percent. In Flemish Brabant and Limburg, De Lijn expects that 64 and 63 percent of the trams and buses are driving respectively.

In the city of Antwerp, 34 percent of the trams would ride and 52 percent in Ghent. For the coastal tram, De Lijn expects 50 percent to drive.

Finally, the transport company points out that the stop pages and line pages on the website and in the app only show trips that will run on Tuesday 20 May. Rides that do not drive are not shown. The stop and line pages on the website and in the app always show the most recent situation.

The trade unions will again take action against the reform plans of the De Wever reform on Tuesday 20 May, this time only in the public services and on the initiative of the Socialist Civil Servants’ Association ACOD. According to the trade union, the saving plans of the arizonar regulation take the public sector extra hard: for example, civil servants wages will be indexed slower and pensions will also be calculated differently in the future, so that officials will eventually have to work longer for less pension.
