Daraban. « The business environment can no longer bear other taxes »

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mihai Daraban, told B1TV on Wednesday that the business environment in Romania can no longer bear new tax increases:

« The business environment can no longer bear other taxes. The current business environment, if we want to kneel it and kill it.

“I would make an evaluation at the profitable activity sectors in Romania, because not all are, but there are a few more sectors than they had facilities until December 31. I thought of the automotive industry. We have two car manufacturers in Romania, who probably have 20,000 employees, but the auto industry in Romania are 206,000 people who make different subassemblies.

I am not talking about the furniture industry, which again brings a value added to the Romanian export, the food industry … I think I would again resume this topic with the profitable activity sectors, with value added to the economy and I would bring their facilities again, because we pay a lot. We Romanians pay about 31.8 billion euros per year labor taxes and foreigners we have in the country pay 19.67 billion euros, only on work ”.
