Danish municipalities receive great honor
Makes a real difference to the most exposed
Councilor for Culture and Citizens 'Service, Rabih Azad-Ahmad, is proud of the recognition and highlights the daily efforts of the Citizens' Service:
« This award is an important stamp of quality, because in Aarhus Municipality we work every day to make sure that no one is left in the digital conversion, » he says.
Lene Hartig Danielsen also emphasizes the importance of the initiative: Lene Hartig Danielsen:
« Mitid in itself does not solve the problems of citizens, but without a mitID it is difficult to be digital in today's Denmark. »
In addition to helping vulnerable citizens, the project has also facilitated the workload of mastery counselors who used to spend a lot of time assisting with identification and digital challenges.
Now their resources can be used to support the citizens of other life challenges such as housing, economy and health.
So far, about 500 vulnerable citizens have received MitID through the project.
Experience shows that citizens often leave citizen service with a sense of relief because the process has been simple and fast.
The project has shown how digital inclusion can be implemented in practice and create real change.
The award recognizes Aarhus Municipality's efforts as a model that can inspire other municipalities to work actively to ensure that all citizens have access to the necessary digital solutions.
