DANISH GAMES WITH DESCRIBLE MESSAGE: Don’t believe that
« Unfortunately, we do not believe that Sissal will break the final curse that is above the Danish contributions to Eurovision, but it seems to be incredibly close. Nerve-wracking close! Close, close, close, » says Oddssetter and Eurovision manager at Danske Spil, Peter Emmike Rasmussen.
This is how it sounds from Danske Spil in one press release.
« Right now we estimate that Sissal is dancing around just below the crucial line. The Faroese artist comes with a super good song and is a really good and convincing performer, but as we see it, there are ten songs in front of her in the semi -finals – and therefore she unfortunately does not come to the final. Eurovision friends who usually vote for us: both Sweden, Norway and Iceland are in the second semi-final, and therefore unfortunately they cannot vote for us.
Danes are more optimistic
But if you ask the Danes – ie the customers at Danske Spil – then there is a completely different optimism to track.
« It is clear that the Danes believe more in Sissal than we oddsmen do – and we can see in our data that the Danes have found both clap hat, glitter and confetti and also expect to watch Sissal on TV on Saturday night as well. Eight out of 10 of our customers believe in Sissal to move on. Money on the result you hope for.
« You say that in a final everything can happen, and if Sissal ends up winning it all, we are currently having to pay on the good side of two million kroner to the Danes. A number that will only get higher as the Eurovision final comes closer, » says Peter Emmike Rasmussen.
