Daniel Krajcer withdrew his candidacy for a member of the STVR Council
MEPs are to elect the Council members on Wednesday.
BRATISLAVA. A candidate for a member of the Council Stables Daniel Krajcer decided to withdraw with his candidacy. He announced this in a media statement.
« Paradoxically, my candidacy has become part of the political struggle for the post of chairman National Council« he explained his step.
He thanked his voice for supporting the party, and at the same time he also commented on the criticism addressed to him by some Members.
« I have to say that I perceive it rather as a compliment. These gentlemen have never done anything for public service in Slovakia, » Krajcer said.
He also declared that he was responsible for the decision to initiate the emergence of RTVS. « Since 2011, it has so far ensured the operation of this institution public service broadcasting in Slovakia. I hope not only temporarily, » Krajcer added.

The exminister of culture and former moderator applied for membership of the STVR as a candidate – a television broadcasting expert. According to the media information, his name was the point of the dispute between the coalition parties SNS and voice.
Another TV candidate – Igor Adamec – withdrew his candidacy on Monday. A letter noting that the election is not applied for the National Council’s website.
MEPs are to vote for the STVR members on Wednesday afternoon. They have to choose five new members of the STVR Council for television broadcasting, radio broadcasting, economics, law area and information technology.
The new creation of the Council is related to the law, which from July 1, 2024, the then RTVS has changed to a QVR and also ended the mandate of CEO Ľuboš Machaj and members of the supervisory authority.
So far, the names of four members are known to be appointed by the Minister of Culture on the basis of the selection procedure Martina Šimkovičová (SNS nominee).
