In Ida-Viruma on March 3, rescuers eliminated several dangerous situations. In Narva, icicles were threatened by pedestrians, Uikal’s dump in Toyla, and in Kokhtla-Yarva, had to rescue people from a stuck elevator, the rescue department reports.
Dangerous icicles in Narva
March 3 at 15:19 In Narva, on A. Pushkin Street, the icicles hanging from the roof were observed dangerously hanging from the roof. Rescuers fenced the territory with a signal tape and notified the apartment partnership and the city administration about it. Rescuers recall that icicles can pose a threat to pedestrians and transport. Responsibility for their timely removal lies with the owners of buildings.
Fire on a landfill in Toyla
March 3 at 15:53 In one of the corners of the landfill in Uikal in the volost of Toil, smoke again appeared. An open flame burned an area of about 20 square meters. The fire was localized by 17:29, rescuers from Yykhvi and Sallamyae participated in the extinguishing.
Rescuers rescued people from the elevator
March 3 at 23:09 in Kokhtla-Yarva, in the Akhtma area, three people were stuck in the elevator on Malev Street. Rescuers quickly released them, there were no injured.
