Dan Diaconescu directly on the list of fines at CNA
The National Audiovisual Council analyzed the reports prepared by the Monitoring Directorate as a result of self -assessment and notifications and has decided to apply the following sanctions:
– fine of 20,000 lei to the post Nasul TV for the edition of 16.04.2025 (with a resumption on 17.04.2025) of the show ‘Let’s talk about you’, at the broadcast of which the provisions of art. 3 para. (2) of the Audiovisual Law no. 504/2002 and of art. 64 para. (1) letter. b) of the Code of regulation of the audiovisual content. Among the titles displayed: ‘Radu Moraru: Nicusor Dan, Security founder’;
– a fine of 10,000 lei to the Canal station 33 for the show ‘Dan Diaconescu Direct’ from 12.04.2025, during which the guest of the edition made a series of accusatory statements to Victor Ponta. The broadcaster did not take into account the provisions of art. 3 para. (2) of the Audiovisual Law no. 504/2002;
– public order to B1 TV for the edition of 16.03.2025 of the ‘News Pass’ show, broadcast without respecting the provisions of art. 66 of the Audiovisual Code, according to which ‘in the news and debate programs the information in issues of public interest, of political, economic, social or cultural nature, the impartiality and balance must be ensured and to be free of the formation of opinions, by presenting the main points of view, during which the problems are in public debate’;
– public order to the post Realitatea Plus for violating the provisions of art. 65 letter. c) in the shows: ‘Fight for Romania’ and ‘Prime Time News’ of 15.04.2025, ‘plus Matinal’ from 16 and 17.04.2025, ‘Day Time News’ of 17.04.2025 and ‘Culges of the parallel state’ of 22.04.2025;
– public order to the post Realitatea Plus for the ‘100%’ show of 22.04.2025, because the provisions of art. 47 para. (4) of the Audiovisual Code.

Art. 3 – (2) All audiovisual media service providers have the obligation to ensure the objective information of the public by presenting the facts and events and to favor free formation of opinions.
Decision no. 220 of February 24, 2011 on the Code of Audiovisual Content
Art. 47 – (4) The generalizing defamatory statements to a person based on a group/ a defined community of gender, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, social category, medical category or characteristics are prohibited in the audiovisual programs.
Art. 64-(1) By virtue of the fundamental law of the public for information, the audiovisual media service providers must comply with the following principles: (…) b) Information on a subject, fact or event should be correct, verified and presented impartially and in good faith.
