«We had gone to find the dog that, shortly thereafter we would have adopted, and we met the volunteers who took care of Nuta dog that had the coat of the same color as Thiaour first dog, who left us in December. We asked for his story and, then, once at home, we realized that we continued to think about him ». They had to adopt only Trudya mixed puppy. And, instead, at the house of Valentina and Moreno Marchesein Cavour, in the Turinese, today they live « grandmine » and « granddaughter ». There is trudy, but there is also nut (Together in the photo above), a mestizo whose estimated age is 15 years, blind and practically deaf. And the protagonist, despite himself, of an incredible rescue, by one of the volunteers of the Kennel of Bibiana, Loris Bertot.

Nut had been abandoned in a forest between Christmas and New Year: left to die, tied with a string on the trunk of a treein an area close to the springs of the Po. « Early one morning of the residents of one of the villages of Paesano, they alerted us, saying that they felt a dog from the previous evening, but in that area the wood is very dense, full of brambles and dirada towards the Po. Thus, Loris, volunteer of the kennel that also has the passion for climbing And in the car he always keeps harnesses, carabiners, ropes. Loris follows the tatters and manages to go down to the woods to the edge of the pole of the Po, where there is a cliff of a few meters and at the bottom a dog that wanders with a piece of broken rope attached to the neck. It is nut. It is frightened, turns in the round and slams against what it finds. He feels Loris approaching and reacts by biting, but the volunteer manages to block him with a blanket and push him into the carrier who had fallen before using the ropes. Then, the tiring ascent begins, thanks also to the help of another passage.

« As they went up they noticed, attached to a tree the same rope he had in the dice, which he desperately fought to free and had broken it. » Once brought to the refuge, the fear was that he did not recover: as well as blind and deaf, he now has few teeth in his mouth. Era Denutrite, full of erythema, the hair infested with parasites. But the warmth of a room of its own and veterinary care have made the miracle. And he began to trust. «The first ten days tried to venture everyone, in turn. Then he reassured. The first times we caressed him had strange reactions, perhaps he had never had caresses and then became a cuddly « . But the last thing Roberta expected, is that Dado found a new family. «And instead this couple arrived, already interested in a puppy and, after meeting him, they asked us if it were adoptable. « Yes, I replied – says Roberta -. But I don’t know who would be interested: he is blind, deaf, he is about 15 years old, he has just learned to appreciate pampering » ».

The happy ending instead has come. Dado has lived with Valentina and Moreno for four months. He put back on weight, the hair has returned to his beauty, he is Arzillo and happy. « A nice link with the puppy, Trudy, who guides him to explore the environments and he is » grandfather « , puts her back in line when he exaggerates – says Valentina – We had a dog who, having become elderly, needed a lot of care, but who gave us so much. Seeing Dado we thought that adopting it was a way to reciprocate that affection we had received And give a new possibility to a dog who had experienced such a terrible story. And we don’t care how much he left, we will be here for him ».

Even if, according to Valentina and Moreno, Nut no longer shows his 15 years. Stay blind and deaf, but the sense of smell works very well. «As soon as he sniffs another dog passing by home puts in clear that that is its territory. He makes us holidays and even jumps. It enjoys the sun and makes great sleeps, while the first few days was restless and always in motion. When we sit in an armchair, place the muzzle to be pampered. It goes crazy for food, but it is selective and Trudy would also eat its part. And then there is also a cat in the house, Minù and there is a good balance between the three ».
