Dad says to his daughters that he ‘loves all his children equally’
« I adopted Magnus back in 2017. It was several years after my last labrador died, » Benson told the US media Newsweek.
« I’ve always been a dog person and am the type who ‘always wants a dog’ because I’m clearly convinced that life is clearly better with a dog. »
It is not unusual for pet owners to consider their dogs as a kind of children. Both couples and single people from Generation Z even choose to have a dog rather than a child.
By 2024, a survey of 2,000 dog owners conducted by Talker Research on behalf of The Pets showed that 84 percent of participants consider their dog their child. And at least Magnus seems to be a fully integral part of Benson’s family.
« Magnus loves family time, and I would say that his favorite thing – besides being with me and my two girls – is to eat, sleep and get a massage, » Benson said.
The evidence is found in a video that Benson has shared on the social media Tiktok under the username @MagnustHerapydog, where you see an impressive collection of pictures of Magnus, which is proudly exhibited on the fridge – along with just one picture of his two daughters.
« The pictures on the fridge are from various fun things Magnus has done, or funny positions we’ve found him in. Magnus is clearly the house’s boss and the castle’s king, » Benson said.
