Prague. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala He announced that he would call the State Security Council for the Bitcoin case. The reason is concerns about possible abuse of the state by the Ministry of Justice for money laundering.
He is interested in what the secret services know about the whole case.
At Tuesday’s briefing, he also announced that he would propose at the forefront of the Justice Department President Petr Pavel’s deputy and vice -chairman of the ODS Eva Decroix, says TASR newsletter in Prague.
« I fully understand the public concerns that the state could have been abused, for example, through the Ministry of Justice to legalize revenues from criminal activities, » Fiala said, adding that it does not take these concerns lightly.

The security council wants to convene in the coming days. « I wonder what the secret services know about this matter, as they are able to refute or confirm these doubts, and above all I am interested in how the Czech Republic is generally prepared for new threats that primary crime in cyber -premise brings, » the Czech Prime Minister explained.
At the same time, he rejected the opposition speculation that the Bitcoin’s case is to help the criminal environment in exchange for some financial performance. He stressed that there was no reason for the government to fall, because Minister of Justice Pavel Blažek has already informed political responsibility.
According to Fiala, he did not evaluate the political-ethical aspect of the whole thing well, and today he admits that he would probably act differently. « He was biased by how some bitcoins can actually grow in a while. And the other thing – and believe it or not – Pavel Blažek was happy to win a billion for the state, » Fiala said.
New Minister
The new minister is to become Eva Decroix, which the President should appoint next week. The Prime Minister noted that she studied law in France, has experience with European and international law and also participated in various changes in the Czech legal order.
The fact that he is from the same side as Blažek does not consider a problem. « Eva is an honest politician who will certainly not be interested in covering something. I will want her to do everything to make everything clear, » added Fiala, who is also the party boss Eva Decroix.
She said on the X social network that she appreciates the opportunity to become a Minister of Justice. « I accept my mission with humility. I will announce all the next steps after my appointment and start to office, » DeCroix wrote.
Her nomination was appreciated by KDU-ČSL chairman Marek Excellent, who described her as an experienced lawyer and said he had his full support.
