Czech Lion 2025 – Results

The Best Film, Director and Screenplay Award was aimed at the end of the evening behind the film Wavesthe author and director is Jiří Mádl and producer Monika Kristl.

She won the first prize of the evening Tatiana Pauhof for their performance in the movie Waves. She donated the prize to all courageous journalists in Slovakia. Her film colleague succeeded in the male category Stanislav Majerwho also thanked his character, journalists Milan Weiner.

Drama Year of widow the actress's prize was credited Pavla Beretová. In the same category she also succeeded in prices of Czech film critics. As well as Oldrich Kaiserwho took a statue for the performance in the movie The gardener's year.

The prize for the extraordinary contribution of Czech cinematography was aimed at the director Karel Smyczekwho, despite his recent stay in the hospital, came to take over personally.

The best animated film last year has become Life to eat director Kristina Dufková.

The prize for another extraordinary contribution to Czech cinematography for the deceased film music conductor Maria Klemens was taken over by his son, also conductor Adam Klemens. Klemens took care of music for hundreds of films and series. Among the best known are three veterans, Želary, a thousand bee, perinbaba, good pigeons are returning or a wild country, visitors and panoptum of the city of Prague.

Nominations were given non -statutory prices. The Award of Film Fans won Mádlovy Wavesthe price for the best movie poster then the film Yankee.

The Czech Lion Film Award has been awarded since 1993. Members of the Czech Film and Television Academy (ČFTA), ie film directors, critics, producers, actors and other experts vote.

The jurors in the poll annually evaluate Czech feature films, co -productions or documents that premiered between 1 January and 31 December.
