Flamyfish Studios, the first game studio of the country, attracted attention with the video game project based on Cyprus legends

Flamyfish Studios, a young and creative team of six people, set out with the aim of moving the historical and cultural heritage of Cyprus to the digital environment. The starting point of the game they prepared became the city of BAF, known for its legends. The team conducted a field research in Cyprus for three months for the project and examined local legends in depth. This process was followed by a 1.5 -month story writing stage.

Atakan Ergin, the founder of the studio, the Founder of the Studio and the game developer, told the Cypriot correspondent about the technical details of the project. « We adapt the Cyprus culture to advanced technology with the most current game engine, Unreal Engine 5. » he said. Illustrator Necdet Atay Erçil, who is a master’s degree in art and design, reflects his visual communication and comic book experience on character and stage designs.
Şerife Sündü, a graduate of foreign trade, aims to increase the digital visibility of the studio by working on social media and digital content production.
Osman Onat Alicik, who continues his master’s and doctoral studies in Games User Experience in Sweden, emphasizes that the game is designed with an approach that center the player experience. Alicik deals with the design of the game as an art and expression form and focuses on the effect of visual narrative on the story.
Hamide Deniz Yentürk, a graduate of Coventry University in the UK, undertakes the concept drawings of the two maps of the game and contributes to the project with care.
Bahire Akmandor is working in character design and dialogue writing. Akmandor, who continues his art education in ARUCAD, is working on the reflection of women’s representatives and inner worlds in creative ways.
