Cyclists will flood Kaunas

June 8, Sunday at 12 p.m. Cycling enthusiasts and their supporters will choose next to the Ąžuolynas Library – where the Orienteering Competition « Think Kaunas » will start here. The tradition that has become a tradition, invites you to try the sharpness of the mind, the dexterity of your feet and re -explore the city: solving puzzles, exploring and overcoming challenges.

Participants will be able to choose one of three different complexity tracks: green (lightest), blue (moderate) or red (challenging). Each track will have its own list of tasks, which will reveal what objects to visit. The participants themselves will decide how to travel between points, using logical thinking and orientation skills.

The celebration is dedicated not only to cyclists but also for their support teams. From 12 noon Those wishing to get acquainted with the most picturesque bicycle routes of Kaunas and new places in the city will be able to get acquainted with the Oak Library. The smallest will have the opportunity to release creativity and make a windmill or bike decoration in the workshop. There will also be a temporary tattoo stop.

Participants of the Orienteering Competition will be awarded with special Souvenirs and Sponsors’ Souvenirs.

In recent years, Kaunas has focused on promoting alternative communications. One option is bikes. Bicycle paths are also installed alongside the management, reconstruction or construction of new streets.

Since 2016, more than 140 km of bicycle paths have been renovated or renovated in the city. This year, their list is planned to be replenished by another six kilometers. This ensures more comfortable, faster and, of course, more environmentally friendly movement in the city.
