Customs prevent attempts to smuggle cigarettes, wine, IT equipment, car parts, 30,000 euros have been seized

Customs officers and mobile customs teams last week prevented attempts to smuggle cigarettes, wine, IT equipment, car parts, and in one case 30,000 euros were seized – the Customs Administration said today. Was prevented and illegal entry of migrants.

Customs officers at the Bogorodica border crossing in one tanker found as many as 49 cartons of cigarettes and 300 grams of tobacco to the smoking hidden in the hose pipe, as well as in the pipe at the bottom of the tank.

– The driver of the freight motor vehicle – a tanker, connected to the cigarettes more easily with cigarettes and thus hid them in the pipes, in order to avoid paying duties in the amount of 81,000 denars. An appropriate procedure was initiated against him, and cigarettes and tobacco were seized.

In another case at the Bogorodica border crossing point, the Mobile Scanners Service when scanning a freight motor vehicle – tanker, revealed 6 carts hidden in the cabin – the statement said.

30,000 euros have been seized that a passenger wanted to take off through the Bogorodica border crossing. Customs clarify that it is a Serbian citizen who carried 40,000 euros and for whom the driver did not have confirmation of reported payment funds at the country. According to the law, the passenger has returned 10,000 euros, an amount that non -residents can freely bring out of the state, while the remaining 30,000 euros are retained.

The mobile scanner service also prevented an attempt to illegally enter four migrants, Egyptian nationals. The migrants were found in the pallet area of ​​a truck with Greek license plates, at the entrance to the country, at the Bogorodica border crossing. The case was handed over for further proceedings by police officers at the border crossing.

An attempt to smuggle 540 bottles of wine that were hidden on a bus, reported to enter the state at the Blace border crossing, was prevented.

During the control of a car driven by an Albanian citizen reported to enter the state at the Medzitlija border crossing, 143 spare parts and 24 liters of engine oil were found.

-Three tablets, two stem boards and four readers of cafe for cafes have been discovered in the trunk of a Macedonian license plate at the Blace border crossing entrance section-the Customs Administration said.
