CSKA can end with the most losses of nearly 40 years, Sector « D » requested Tomash’s resignation

CSKA allowed its ninth loss for the season in the visit of Krumovgrad. The 13th in the standings won 1-0 after a goal from Momchil Tsvetanov’s penalty shootout, and the Reds disappointed with their performance in the second consecutive visit after they pulled out a point against the Botev (Vratsa) with a goal in the added time for 1: 1 on April 6.

However, the defeat in Plovdiv has exhausted the patience of the fans, and for the first time, since Alexander Tomash stood at the head of the team, the shouts have been heard at his address. Speculations were also swirling about a possible deputy coach of CSKA – as one option is the mentor of the duplicate team Vladimir Manchev (but only by the end of the season if a recent change was reached). The name of Dusan Kerkez, who after yesterday’s 1: 1 in the visit of Lokomotiv (Sofia), revealed that at 99% he would leave Botev (Plovdiv) after the end of the season. And the reason is the financial uncertainty that hinders Bosnneza’s desire to fight for the title.

Organized today CSKA supporters from the Tribune Sector D came out with a position in which they wished the resignation of senior coach Alexander Tomash. Here’s what the fans’ position reads:

« Army,

On the eve of the brightest Christian holiday, we have to say some things that we have been silent for a long time and which can no longer be « grinned » under the carpet of patience and trust. What we will never put up with while we are alive are definitely the mediocrity and replacement of our DNA.

There is no enough strong and negative word to describe our presentation this season, but as much as we try to see the widely proclaimed constant upgrading and development in the sports and technical terms, the more we see only cowardice and failure after failure. Obviously, CSKA again turns out to be too big for some people, and if they are indeed faded with army values ​​and ideals, as they claim to be obeyed, there is a single worthy decision and action on their part, which should happen even today.

There is no room for more experiments and mediocrity in our favorite club and it is time for Alexander Tomash to take responsibility and resign, whether it will be accepted or not.

The moral act in the name of CSKA is the most important thing, and a person raised and grown on the army should understand it better than everyone else. On Tuesday, it remains the only opportunity to be at least partially « saved » this season and clear and concrete measures must be taken. CSKA is not a school, but a name it obliges! « 

For CSKA, the situation after the end of the regular season is the following – the team will in the second four, which will distribute the places between the fifth and the eighth. The rivals of the Reds in the playoffs – « Botev » (Plovdiv), « Spartak » (Varna) and « Beroe » are also clear. It is unlikely that CSKA will allow three losses in the six matches against these teams, but if that happens, the club will register a season with the most losses in nearly 40 years. In 1985/86, the Bulgarian Army team ended the championship with 12 losses and remained fourth in the final standings.

Otherwise, the last case in which the « army » ends a season with nine losses is 1998/99 and then the place in the final standings for them is fifth. That championship will also be remembered by the removal of Metallurg (Pernik) due to attempts to settle households against Levski and Litex, with the results of these two meetings being canceled. Winning from the removal of Metallurg is Shumen, which ends in the area of ​​the falling out, but contrary to the regulatory ordinance, the Shumen people are left in the elite instead of the group to be filled by the fourth in the B group.

The big goal of CSKA by the end of the season is to secure a place in European tournaments, with two options to do so – if he won the Cup of the country where a rematch in the semifinals against the Black Sea after 0-0 in Varna. Either through a conference league barrage, but for this purpose the « reds » must finish in fifth position in the arrangement, and then in one match to defeat either the third or the fourth in the standings.
