The liberal trade union has sent a sharp letter to the federal government. In it, the trade union refers to an internal report that paints a disturbing picture of the state of affairs, writes The latest news. « We have received the letters. Within the existing consultation structures, the dialogue between all trade unions and the federal police continues. » That is what Minister of the Interior Bernard Quintin says in a response to the news about the problems with the judicial police.

The federal government received a letter from the liberal trade union VSOA on 10 April, writes The latest news. The trade union is talking about an ethical and administrative crisis at the top of the federal police that must be tackled decisively and decisively. Commissioner-General Eric Snoeck in particular has to suffer. The French -speaking agent was only appointed big boss of the federal police last year, but would already have lost the support of some of the staff.

The liberal trade union refers to an internal report that paints a disturbing picture of the state of affairs within the federal judicial police. The report is based on a survey of more than 1,700 employees who are involved in investigating organized crime, drug crime, financial fraud and corruption.

There is ‘persistent conflicts’ in the workplace and bullying behavior, but also a lack of trust in leadership, tensions with the management and an anxiety culture. Various women also report that they are (sexually) intimidated by superiors or colleagues.

The survey was conducted two years ago, but the results were only shared a few weeks ago with the trade unions.
