Criminal Court Skopje: Unjustified Request for Replacement Detention with Asmir Sakhoski, Money Laundering Suspected

As stated in the statement, the court, appreciating all the circumstances related to the investigation, despite the prosecutor’s positive opinion, believes that at this point there are still circumstances for the existence of the detention of detention from item 2 of Art. 165 para.1 of the LCP, ie circumstances indicating that the person may hinder the investigation with the influence of witnesses as well as that it can hide, falsify or destroy the traces of the crime, as the investigation is still ongoing and other evidence -collecting actions are still being undertaken.

-This is all the more so that the Criminal Chamber extended the detention of the suspect on the submitted proposal of the BPPO GOCK on 08.04.2025 precisely because of the existence of the reasons provided for in Art. 165 para.1 t. 1 and 2 of the LCP – reads the statement from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje.

Against this decision, the parties have the right to appeal before the Skopje Court of Appeal within 3 days of receipt.
