Criminal charges for abuse of power and authority and abuse of public call procedure

The Department of Organized and Serious Crime has filed criminal charges against six individuals on grounds of suspicion of committing crimes of « abuse of power and authority » and « abuse of public call procedure, awarding a public procurement contract or public-private partnership ».

The Ministry of Interior announced today that the first suspect as President of the Board of Directors of the State Lottery of the Republic of Macedonia. Fifth and sixth reported on behalf of legal entities, they said in a statement, concluded an agreement to submit a joint offer in an open procedure, stating that in addition to a bank guarantee for quality and timely execution of the contract, one legal entity would provide and developed software for the lottery system, while the reported legal entity was not complied with.

From the actions taken, the two legal entities obtained an illegal property benefit of 11,870,754 denars.
