Criminal charges brought against police officers for harassment in the service and disruption of the inviolability of the home

The Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Interior have filed criminal charges against MT, SR, and J.C., police officers from PSON Aerodrom at the SIA Skopje, for the crimes of « harassment in the service » and « disruption of the inviolability of the home ».

According to the Ministry of Interior, the criminal charges were filed with the competent Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption, Department of Research and Prosecution of Crimes committed by people with police powers and prison police.

-The first MT and the second suspect SR. On 24.02.2025 in front of the front door of the apartment owned by a person from Skopje, he informed him that they had come to conduct an official conversation about a complaint from his wife, but he did not allow them to enter because they had no order from a court to enter his home. Then MT Unauthorized entered his home and forcibly pulled the injured party, hit him on his leg and tried to deprive him of his liberty, taking the actions to the minor son of the injured party. Thus MT committed two crimes, ie the crime of « harassment in the service » under Article 143 of the CC and the crime of « disruption of the inviolability of the home » under Article 145 paragraph 2 of the CC, while the second suspect SR. Along with the third suspect JF. committed a crime of « disruption of the inviolability of the home » under Article 145 paragraph 2 of the CC- informs the Ministry of Interior.

Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards Against Police Officers MT, SR. and JJ has also submitted a proposal to initiate a procedure for establishing responsibility for violation of the work discipline and for removal – suspension until the completion of the disciplinary procedure.
