Criminal against four people demanded money from a mother whose child was serving a prison sentence

Criminal charges were filed yesterday against AB. and AR, between the ages of 31 and 25, both from Skopje, on suspicion of committing crimes of « extortion » under Article 258 paragraph 1 and « Leaves », under Article 260 paragraph 1 and against EB. and RR, at the age of 27 and 20, also Skopje, on suspicion of « extortion » crimes under Article 258 paragraph 1 in connection with Article 22 and « Leivery », under Article 260 paragraph 1 in connection with Article 22 of the Criminal Code, the Interior Ministry said this afternoon.

AB and AR, who were serving a prison sentence in « Idrizovo », using illegally acquired mobile phones, through the Facebook – Messenger application from the mother to another person who was serving a prison sentence, demanded that they pay them 1,200 euros a month for her son to receive and have a prisoner.

During the video, calls showed her how they were violently treated for her son, blackmailing that if they were not paid money, they would continue their violence for their son.

– On May 23, EB, who is the brother of AB, and RR, who is AR’s brother, after a previous agreement with the convict’s mother, came to Strumica in order to meet her, where she was supposed to give them a pre -agreed amount of money, which was part of the money she was seeking. After the meeting, ie at the moment when EB He took the money, which was previously marked, was deprived of his liberty by police officers from the SIA – Strumica, and RR. He was on the run, but he was immediately arrested and deprived of his liberty – MoI explained.

During the deprivation of liberty, where EB Money was found in various currencies and denominations, for which he did not submit documentation for the origin of the said cash, after which police officers were seized.

– At the same time, police officers from the Criminal Police Department, Sector for Organized and Violent Crime and Department of Violent Crime at SIA – Skopje, searched in prison cells in « Prison – Idrizovo », where AB was staying. and AR, where two illegally acquired mobile phones were found and seized – the Ministry of Interior said.

EB and RR were detained at the Strumica Police Station. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office – Strumica was aware of the event.

After filing the criminal charges, the persons were brought before a judge of the Basic Court – Strumica, who by EB. and RR He was given a house arrest measure.
