The European Handball Federation (EHF) has published a list of nine clubs that have a place in the Champions League in the 2025/26 season. There is also one of them Crimea Mercatorwhich will play in the most powerful European competition for the 31th season in a row.

In addition to the Ljubljana team, Hungarian Györ, Denmark Odense and Esbjerg, French Metz, German Ludwigsburg, Montenegrin Buducnost, Norway Storhamar and Romanian Bucharest will also perform in the new season in the Champions League.

Ten clubs are running for the remaining seven places: Hungarian Ferencvaros and Debrecen, Norway Sola and Tertnes, Romanian Gloria Bistrita and Baia Mare, Croatia Podravka, Danish Ikast, French Brest and German Borussia from Dortmund.

The final list of clubs will be known on June 24, and the group’s draw will be June 27. The system of the competition remains unchanged in the new season, and 16 clubs will be divided into two groups with eight members.
