Tatort commissioners: Ballauf and Schenk are the investigators in Cologne

Klaus J. Behrendt (Max Ballauf) and Dietmar Bär (Freddy Schenk) are cult. The Cologne Commissioners have been seen in over 80 crime scene sequences since 1997. After his girlfriend dies in the United States and he is caught drunk at the wheel, he is shown. In the Rhine metropolis, he grabs the position as head of the murder commission – not a good start for both.

Ballauf is single, but was already married. His wife left him with the two children together. In Cologne, the former Sunnyboy becomes calmer and more precisely, also more critical – both in private life and at work. Freddy Schenk, on the other hand, can be described as a family man, almost as a philistine. The beefy main commissioner with a preference for suits and sneakers is married and has two daughters. He is a clever investigator with a large heart, which his cases often don’t leave cold.
