Crete: Dead 19 -year -old – fell with IX from bridge
His life was lost a 19 -year -old driver in Crete, after an accident which occurred when, reportedly, the IX left its course, penetrating the protective bars and was in the void.

As it became known, the 19 -year -old driver from Ierapetra in Lasithi was on board and at 4:00 on Wednesday morning fell from the Frouzi Bridge on BOAK, near St. Nicholas.

According to reports, the 19 -year -old’s cellphone broadcast a signal for « involvement of his owner in a car accident », thus mobilizing authorities. Immediately on the spot, three firefighters rushed to a fire truck as well as an EKAB ambulance.

The firefighters during a release operation pulled the 19 -year -old driver, without his senses, from the wreckage of IX and handed him over to EKAB rescuers. The death of the young man was confirmed by doctors to the hospital where he was taken.
The conditions under which the accident occurred are being investigated.
