Creative art and colorful flora inspire visitors
Porcelain storks, Florentine hats, knight’s spur, dirndl, Tyrolean bacon, light stone and lavender soap – the offer was varied in « Art, Culture and Easter Market » in Schloss Grünau. The garden days on Easter attracted several thousand visitors.
Especially on the sunny Easter Sunday, day trippers moved to Ottheinrich’s hunting lodge in the Danube meadows. The green market has not been overrun. The parking spaces next to the dusty dirt roads were sufficient and the processes worked. Organizer Sabine Nötzel and her team had everything under control.
Around 80 exhibitors presented their goods at Gross Grünau in Neuburg
The majority of 80 exhibitors were satisfied. It has become more difficult to put together such a large market with a high -quality offer. In addition to regular guests, Sabine Nötzel is always looking for new providers who “make their products as creative, artistic and also socially as possible”. The offer included sculptures from 4000 year old moor oaks by Bernd Thomas Zimmermann from Walda or tinny elephants by Franz Keck. The metal artist from Birkenried near Günzburg, with his African friends from Zimbabwe, transforms the sheet metal of old oil barrels to impressive life -size animal figures. Her gallery on the castle grave received special attention.

City councilor Klaus Mittermaier from Ingolstadt spent liqueurs and brandy against the cold on Monday. In the tower room of the new castle, a selection of traditional costumes was waiting for interested parties. A portrait painter accepted orders for portraits of humans and dogs. In the old castle, Ute Patel-Mißfeldt and daughter Isabel showed new works of art.
On the garden days in Neuburg you could also buy all kinds of plants
Anyone who found too little green plants in the castle courtyard has found what they were looking for at Floor van Lavieren. The Dutch flower dealer traveled again with a filled truck. Its cheap flowers, perennials and trees found their customers.
