Create our military protection and production industry

The Prime Minister, at the same time the leader of the Socialist Party Edi Rama, held today a meeting in the city of Vlora with the focus of the progress of strategic projects in the field of transport, mainly at Vlora International Airport and the development of the port of this city.

In his speech, Rama focused on the agreement signed with one of the world’s largest companies in the military industry for the establishment of the Aviation Academy in Vlora.

« The agreement on the creation of this academy is an extremely important step in support of support, whether of civil aviation or our armed air forces with a qualified human capital for the time we live. »

« Today we make it possible for an agreement that then paves the way for the contract with one of the world excellence in the field of defense industry LB Systems, » Rama said.

Meanwhile, the prime minister said, « We are in a moment of historical turning in the field of defense. Historical turning that is undoubtedly dictated by the world context, but also by the European context. »

« We learned in the most brutal way possible that war is not a black and white documentary film, but it is a reality unfortunately in the doors of Europe. While we are devoting a completely surprising and unimaginable process just a few years ago of access to protection, access to the idea of ​​war, in a world where conflicts do not seem to be gone because staggering, ”Rama said.

Of course, Rama added, « that for us has arisen, not the need, but the necessity to approach this process of transformation with a new strategy. And this new strategy has begun to be implemented step by step. Part of this lifetime is the agreement that has just been signed with the strategic partners of the Republic of Albania.

« We are in a process of discussion in some ways, but the essence is that we want to rebuild our defense industry and our military production industry, » Rama said.

« We are very optimistic for the sake of truth. We have the right partners and allies that are leaders in this field, not only Israel, but also the US and other EU states and definitely Turkey, which is a strategic ally of ours, and we are working in some ways. »
