Court accepts prosecution’s proposal to replace effective house arrest for Kreshnik Bekteshi
The Basic Court Kocani accepted the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s proposal to lift effective detention and replacement with a milder measure, house arrest, former Economy Minister Kresnik Bekteshi. The court has not yet ruled out other prosecution proposals for 19 people regarding the tragedy at the Pulse discotheque in Kocani.
A spokesman for the Basic Court Kocani said in a statement to MIA this afternoon that a pre -trial judge had decided on the Bekteshi proposal, while others were awaiting a criminal council member and the lawyers on the proposals.
– After other proposals it has not yet been decided. Have been submitted to the court. It is being followed by the same, when the public decides to be informed – Os Kocani spokesman told MIA.
The State Prosecutor’s Office said yesterday that Os Kocani, in addition to the proposal to replace the « detention » detention measure with « house arrest » for two people, a proposal has also been submitted to extend pre -defined detention and house arrest for 18 people.
– According to the phase of the proceedings and evidence already secured, the Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the Basic Court in Kocani a proposal to replace the previously determined detention with a house arrest measure for two suspects – a former minister and former Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy, while 18 were detained. The Prosecutor’s Office will decide the court – the statement said.
The fire at the Pulse disco in Kocani that occurred on the night of March 16 killed 62 people and injured about 200.
