The latest afforestation project on the tribe is located in the manor landscape south of the manor Vilhelmsborg.

PostNord finances about 10 hectares of the total 300 hectares to be transformed into forest and nature.

It informs PostNord in a press release.

The whole area becomes a mixture of forest and light-open areas with forest meadows, grazing areas as well as small and large water holes, where biodiversity can spread in the long term and create a new home for, among other things, the foliage and water salamander, which is on the EU’s list of protected Appendix IV species.

The lasting carbon bonding of the area is expected to be 18,486 tonnes of CO₂ over a maximum of 100 years, of which PostNord contributes more than 3100 tonnes of CO₂.

The forest is built so that it can be certified by FSC or PEFC, and it is managed according to principles of sustainable forestry. The forest must therefore not be sprayed or fertilized ..

PostNord & Northside invite festival goers to donate trees

When the NorthSide Festival runs from 5-7. June 2025, guests can contribute to the Danish climate effort by donating trees through the Klimaskovfonden – directly from PostNord’s parcel box at the festival grounds.

For just 25 kroner you can donate a tree, and all contributions go uncut to afforestation at Vilhelmsborg south of Aarhus.

When you donate, you also have the opportunity to open a parcel box door and win great prizes. IN
