Cost you expensive if you forget
New Payment Zones – Here it will soon cost money to park
Several of the city's popular parking areas are transformed into payment zones from April. This applies, among other things:
The price of parking will be 8 kroner an hour. The municipality emphasizes that residents and traders in the affected areas will soon receive a letter in e-Box where they can apply for a P-license. In addition, new signage is set up so that no one is taken on the bed.
Goodbye to free parking for commuters
One of the major changes affects motorists who have previously utilized free parking in the city without having a real errand in the area. According to the municipality, the island street district has been plagued by so-called transit parking, where motorists park the car to move on by public transport or on the walk.
“With this action, we are trying to limit transit parking, where the parkers really have to move on to something else. They have no errand in the area, but park there anyway. After all, we must not use payment parking to get a municipal income, so it is only to regulate behavior for the benefit of the local citizens, ”says Jan Nymark Rose Thaysen.
