Corpse finds in Italy – mother and child?

The finding of two corpses in the middle of one of the most beautiful parks in Rome continues to puzzle the Italian police. Little girl was only a few months old

The dead baby was discovered by two women who had played volleyball in the large park near the Vatican. The child lay down on the floor with his face. At the police, the two said that they initially suspected that it was a doll. Then it quickly turned out that it was probably the body of a girl between five and ten months old. The body had injuries. A pillow and diapers were also found nearby.

When the investigators searched the surroundings for traces, the body of the approximately 40-year-old woman was discovered on the other side of the path under Oleander-Büschen. The dead was in a black garbage bag. She had no identification papers with herself. Because of the advanced decay, identification is difficult. According to Italian media reports, there are indications that the woman and child come from Eastern Europe. There is also speculation about a connection to the drug milieu.

Surveillance cameras should provide information

The investigators now check the recordings of various surveillance cameras that are in the park. The facility is blocked at night – but many people don’t think about. In addition, inquiries from the area around the hospitals run whether there have been abnormalities in the past few weeks. It is also searched for a man who was watched by witnesses how he carried something in his arm into the park.
