A woman who was convicted of killing a music star Selene Quintanille-Perezwas rejected by early leaving prison. She spent decades behind bars after being convicted that she had killed a young singer in 1995 in Texas, writes CNN.

Yolanda Saldívar serves a life sentence at Texas prison. The three -member Council of the Texas Committee on Pardon and the Conditional Loads voted not to release it, Associate Press reported. The Commission said that its case would be considered in 2030.

A jury at Houston on October 2, 1995, condemned Saldívar for first -degree murder. She was sentenced to a lifetime prison with a pardon after 30 years.

While in prison, Saldívar, a former nurse, earned a diploma of lawyers and associates from the criminal judiciary and filed several lawsuits for civil rights, stating that the state prison system abused, according to court records.
