Convicted of the murder of Selene Quintanille: Yolanda remains behind bars without conditional leave
A woman who was convicted of killing a music star Selene Quintanille-Perezwas rejected by early leaving prison. She spent decades behind bars after being convicted that she had killed a young singer in 1995 in Texas, writes CNN.
Yolanda Saldívar serves a life sentence at Texas prison. The three -member Council of the Texas Committee on Pardon and the Conditional Loads voted not to release it, Associate Press reported. The Commission said that its case would be considered in 2030.
Selene Quintanille-Prerez is known to the public as ‘Selena’. The young singer was born in the US and is originally from Mexico. She managed to break into the mainstream music scene and was on the verge of transition to the pop market in English at the moment her life was tragically ended.
Saldívar founded Selena’s fan club and was the leader of the singer’s clothing singer, Selena etc., until she was discharged in early March 1995 after the disappearance of money was discovered.

A jury at Houston on October 2, 1995, condemned Saldívar for first -degree murder. She was sentenced to a lifetime prison with a pardon after 30 years.
While in prison, Saldívar, a former nurse, earned a diploma of lawyers and associates from the criminal judiciary and filed several lawsuits for civil rights, stating that the state prison system abused, according to court records. She also assisted other prisoners in submission of requests. It was also especially separate from other prisoners because of the ‘high profile’ of the case.
Selena gained many fans with her songs, dance, recognizable style of dressing and cheerful personality. More than 50,000 people stood in line to see Selena’s body the day before being laid on to rest in Seaside Memorial Park 3. April 1995, just 13 days before her 24th birthday.
She was a star and won Grammy during the flourishing of Tejan music in the early 1990s. Her hits include « Bidi candy bidi », « como la flor », « amor prohibido », « No Queda Mas » and « There solo here. » Her crossover album in English « Dreaming of You », released several months after her death, and was at the top of the Billboard ranking 200.
