Brussels

The Brussels public prosecutor’s office demands 15 months in prison with a trail against a young woman who had posted a video on Tiktok about the Freemason Stamp near Martelarenplein in Brussels. In the video, the woman claimed that satanic rituals and other crimes took place in the building, after which it was vandalized.

The controversial tap at the end of January caused a lot of fuss and problems. The woman had put images online of a building on Martelarenplein and in the voice-over it was said that the building was a place that had ties with « the Illuminati » and that « satanic rituals » and other « crimes » took place at night.

Hate

After the publication of the video, the residents of the building had to endure it hard. They received hate messages and threats, strangers tried to break in and stones were thrown to the facade.

In reality it is about the Freemason Stamp of the Cercle des Amis Philanthropes. The building has been recognized as a historic monument since 1975. The inconspicuous facade hides a large Egyptian temple. During the inauguration, the temple was seen as one of the most beautiful in Europe.

Defamation

The tap was examined by the police, after which the maker was arrested. She appeared on Thursday in the court in Brussels, where the public prosecutor demanded a 15 -month prison sentence with delay under conditions. « Do you realize what you have done and what consequences your video has had? » Sounded at the public prosecutor.

The defendant stated that she realizes that she made a mistake. It is being prosecuted for defamation, written threats and abuse of an electronic means of communication.

Judgment on April 24. (CVH)
