« There are sachets in circulation which could contain candy likely to cause health problems such as dizziness, when consumed »said NVWA in a statement. « Cannabis was found in (candies in the shape of) cola bottles in question »said the spokesperson for the NVWA Saida Ahadi.
The NVWA was alerted by the police after several people – children and adults – having eaten this type of candy fell ill. Saida Ahyad said the police were now investigating how cannabis had been able to find themselves in the candy sachets.
« After consultation with NVWA and as it is customary in this type of situations, Haribo has issued a security warning », Added Saida Ayhad, urging not to consume these candies.
