The film Touch directed by Baltasar Kormáks was awarded most Eddur, or a total of ten, when the Icelandic TV and Film Academy Award (ÍSKA) was presented at a ceremony at the Hilton hotel earlier this evening.

Among other things, the film was awarded for the best manuscript written by Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson and Baltasar Kormákur. Egill Ólafsson and Pálmi Kormákur were both awarded for the best game, Egill in the lead role and Palmi in supporting role.

Katla Njáldóttir and Elín Hall in the film Ljósbrot directed by Rúnar Rúnarsson. The film received a total of five Edda Awards.

The film Light Fragments in the director of Rúnar Rúnarsson received the second most prize, or five in total. She was voted the best film of the year and Rúnar the best director of the year. Elín Hall and Katla Njáldóttir were both awarded for the best game, Elín starring and Katla in supporting role.

Edda prizes were awarded in seven main categories and 14 professional awards. In addition, the couple Egill Ólafsson and Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir received the Honorary Award of the Year for an invaluable contribution to Icelandic film making.
