Consultations in Cotroceni, conclusions with plan of public spending discounts
The delegations of the pro-European parties-PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR and the representatives of the National Minorities Group-have stressed, at the informal consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, that they understand the seriousness of the budget deficit and expressed their commitment to contribute to the identification of responsible solutions, the presidential administration announced.
According to the quoted source, in this regard, at the initiative of President Nicușor Dan, it was agreed that, in parallel with the negotiations for the formation of the new government, a plan of measures intended to reduce the public spending, which will be assumed and implemented by the future executive.
‘For this objective, the mentioned parties and the representatives of the national minorities will be a technical working group, which will carry out their first meeting on Thursday, May 29, at 3:00 pm, at the Cotroceni Palace.
At the meetings of this working group, Mr. Radu Burnete and Dragoș Anastasiu will be attended by the Presidential Administration, the Presidential Administration said.
According to the President’s public agenda, Nicușor Dan will have on Thursday morning, from 9.00 am, a meeting with representatives of the business associative environment.
At the informal consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, the representatives of the non -affiliated parliamentarians, gold and SOS Romania refusing to take part in discussions were also present.
