Construction work / day is undergoing near 80 sections of the country
Much of the repairs are on regional roads. In many places, the number of temporary traffic lights has increased, and thus the waiting time. It will take up to 40 minutes at Cesvaine and Svente to leave Kaltene to Upesgriva, at Cesvaine and Svente. There are already eight temporary traffic lights on Cesvaine, on the regional road Plavinas-Madona-Gulbene (P37).
The biggest traffic restrictions are on the main roads. The Vidzeme highway (A2) from the Grundzale to the Līzspasts sets a speed limit of up to 70 and 50 kilometers per hour (km/h), and the expected repairs crossing time of about 22 minutes.
The Daugavpils highway (A6) from Kalnišķi to Lubaste traffic is organized on a single carriageway, with a speed limit of 50 and 70 km/h. The expected repairs crossing time is 20 minutes.
On the Jekabpils-Rezekne-Ludza-Russian border (Terehova) (A12), from Mežāres to the turn to Murani (P84), there is one traffic light, speed limit of 70 and 50 km/h. The expected crossing time is 40 minutes. There are three traffic lights at Ludza, as well as speed limits of 70 and 50 km/h, which extends the expected repairs to 35 minutes. On the other hand, on the Daugavpils bypass (A14) from Svente to the A6 motorway, traffic is regulated by traffic lights, with a speed limit of 70 and 50 km/h. The expected transition time of the repair is 35 minutes.
