Constitutional Court continues cooperation with OSCE Mission to Skopje
The Constitutional Court continues its cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Skopje, was found at today’s working meeting of Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski with Umr al-Katib, Head of the Department of Human Dimension at the OSCE Mission to Skopje.
The meeting, according to the Constitutional Court, discussed future activities that the two institutions would jointly implement to continue cooperation and concluding a new Memorandum of Understanding.
Among the priorities Kostadinovski emphasized is the promotion of transparency through several activities, after prior examination of public opinion and citizens’ confidence in the Constitutional Court.
The President of the Constitutional Court emphasized the importance of conducting vocational training for councilors and informed about the need to invest in the court’s staffing capacities with the ultimate goal of ensuring a more efficient service and increasing the quality of work performance.
The meeting discussed organizing international conferences that would share comparative experiences from other countries, on topics important for the constitutional judiciary and the promotion of human freedoms and rights.
– In the past few years, the OSCE Mission in Skopje, led by Ambassador Kilian Val, has given significant support for the Constitutional Court in organizing an international conference on the occasion of the « 60 Years of Constitutional Court », promotion and issuance of monograph, as well as strengthening the capacity of the court by providing appropriate training for councils – informs the Constitutional Court..
