Constantin Schreiber said goodbye as a « Tagesschau » spokesman. At the end of the 8 p.m. show, he addressed the audience « a few personal words » and thanked for the trust. « I wish you all of us, a lot of positive news and believe in the good. A Chinese proverb is: Wherever you go, go with your heart. I think that’s a good advice. I wish you a nice evening for the last time. »
Wherever the 45-year-old is going, he did not yet make known. He has published numerous novels and books in recent years, including about Islam. His publications also include the pamphlet « Let’s speak openly! Why democracy needs fearless debates », in which writers pleaded to listen to each other and endure discussions.

Schreiber has been one of the best -known news programs on German television since 2017. The main ending runs for a quarter of an hour at 8 p.m. On average, around 9.6 million viewers watch. The public law ARD had announced in mid -May, writers go at his own request. He himself wrote on Instagram that it was time for him for new things, and therefore time to say goodbye to the « Tagesschau ».
There is even more movement in the spokesman’s team: On June 14th, journalist Romy Hiller joins the 8 p.m. issue, this had already become known.
