In the new series « Boarders – Welcome to St. Gilbert’s », the well -known motif « Arm meets Reich » is reinterpreted. Five underprivileged teenagers are allowed to be an elite boarding school in thanks to a scholarship London visit. There are two worlds that meet at school. The everyday life of the students on St. Gilberts is determined by traditions, eccentric rituals and social rules.

The elite high school St. Gilbert’s has an image problem because of a scandal. One of the sample students has released a video in which he can watch him inject champagne on a homeless person. The school solution: five scholarships to black students awarded. The focus of the British series is the scholarship holders Jaheim, Leah, Omar, Toby and Femi. Consequences of « Boarders – Welcome to St. Gilbert’s »: action of the ZDF series

The series begins with the fact that a video becomes public in which students from the St. Gilbert elite boarding school film how they pour a homeless with champagne. Since the school fears that its image could suffer from it, it awards five scholarships to disadvantaged teenagers. In the hope that this measure counteracts the scandal.

Episode 1: « Butts & Bullies »

After the offenses of the elite students, the St. Gilbert’s school decides to award scholarships. The London teenagers Jaheim, Leah, Omar, Femi and Toby are given the opportunity to become a student of the elite boarding school. Already in the first episode there are disputes between the other students and the scholarship holders. In addition, Jaheim becomes the victim of an attack. Femi takes part in a curious ritual and Omar pursues the existence of a supposed secrecy.

Episode 2: « Party & Payback »

The first party of the school year is pending on which Toby appears as a DJ. Although Leah wanted to organize a political event, classmate Abby persuades her to take part in the party. During the party, Jaheim starts a revenge against Rupert: he kisses his girlfriend. This campaign has consequences.

Episode 3: « Rumors & Robots »

There is a robot competition in St. Gilbert’s. Jaheim promises his roommate Xiang to help. Toby and Abby use the event for a first date that runs differently than expected. Leah suffers from the consequences of a viral video. In this episode, Abby learns that Florence is responsible for being spreading the video.

Episode 4: « Brownies & Betrayal »

Toby is in trouble because Yelena found out that he sold her sweets instead of drugs. She wants to have her money back. After Toby learns who her father is and there is rumor that he has contacts with the Russian mafia, he gives in. Leah is in love with Koku, who invites you to drive to his parents over the weekend.

Episode 5: « Police & Paintball »

While the « Carruthers Challenge », a martial competition, a police operation runs in the background. Toby, Omar and Femi come into the focus of the police investigations.

Episode 6: « Lunch & Loyalty »

A fundraiser event with all important donors from St. Gilbert’s is being planned. The headmaster is afraid that there will be further incidents and therefore lets all the rooms search in advance. He also appoints Jaheim as the new student representative. Abby realizes that she feels more for Toby. But his secrets endanger young love.
