Concert of Croatian Ensemble « Lado » in Skopje, guest Macedonian « Tanec »
The Croatian Folk Games and Song Ensemble « Lado » will perform a concert of folk games on June 3, 2025 at National Opera and Ballet, Skopje. The guest of the concert will be the Macedonian ensemble « Tanec ».
In the rich string of various concerts that « Lado » performs throughout the year, the most brilliant are the dance programs in which the whole ensemble can be seen.
-This year’s « Lado » has prepared a program by which the audience is traveling through different regions of the Republic of Croatia and other spaces where Croats live.
With a temperamental performance of folk games, different types of singing and musical practices, instruments, dialects and lavish folk color color, « Lado » leads you through the rich cultural heritage in which games, songs and music create an authentic -style folk art that has been nurturing and developing for 76 years.
The concert of folk games and songs is part of the most famous, anthological performances of « Lado » – says Zrinka Posaves, art director of « Lado ».
« Dances from Posavina » and « Tanec after Susacu » are a legendary choreography of the founder and the first art director of « Lado », Professor Zvonimir Shevakov. The trip with dance and music across Croatia continues with a scenic display of Jurjevski customs from Croatian Zagorje by author Ivica Ivankovic « Protoljaki Hodiju », « Primen-Hand Dance » by Dr. Ivan Ivancan, and there are « Old Split » by Branko.
The orchestra of the Lado Ensemble will present an anthological processing of the Shockadi Music Themes through the composition of the GOD Potocia « Shocking Meeting ».
The very end of the concert is reserved for legendary and audiences favorite « Prigorski dances » by Zvonimir Zevakovic.
With its excellence, temperament and authentic performances « Lado » continues to impress Croatian and world audiences, representing the wealth of Croatian tradition. Vigorous and inspired by tradition, the performances of the ensemble « Lado » and choreographic and stage are interpretations in which the original, authentic folk art is primarily respected, and their artistic impression leaves no one indifferent.
The concert starts at 7:30 pm.
The concert is co -financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and with the support of the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
