With this, we will express our great concern for the audiography situation in Alta and the surrounding area. Just a short time ago, the public service apparatus was relieved by the private offer Hørselshjelpen AS came to Alta firmly once a month.

They received approx. 900 patients/customers a year. Many in Alta and in the surrounding municipalities gained access to valuable hearing aid, with significantly shorter waiting times than to the audiographer at Finnmark Hospital. The private offer relieved the public service apparatus in West Finnmark to a large extent.

HLF Alta, Hasvik and Loppa have an office that is open 2. every Wednesday, where peers offer hearing tests, guidance and maintenance of hearing aids. We are now noticing an increased increase in people who need help.

Among other things, the hearing impaired people have not been given their new hearing aids, because there is no audiographer to distribute them. We would therefore like to ask the health enterprise to ensure that it ambulates an audiograph to Alta in order to take care of the waiting lists here, until a permanent audiographer is back in place. When a new audiographer has now been hired at Kirkenes Hospital, it should be possible to redistribute the resources somewhat to remedy the situation in Alta.

We will also ask the Finnmark Hospital on a regular basis to prioritize the number of audiographs positions at the Alta Clinic. As it is now, the audiographer has very little time to follow up the hearing aid users, and the feedback we get on the consultations is that they are characterized by little time for the individual. Absolutely elementary messages such as the importance of switching, for example, filters and how to do this, do not appear to reach more users of hearing aids.

We hope the Finnmark Hospital can quickly put in place an ambulatory audiograph to Alta to remedy the situation we are in now.
