An abusive zoo, discovered by the carabinieri of the Pognana Lario station and by the colleagues of the specialized nucleus of Ponte Chiasso in the home of a 73 -year -old pensioner.

Last February 1st, During a check, the 73 -year -old had been found in possession of 12 turtles « Tesitudo Hermanni »held in unsuitable conditions and without the necessary documents. Two specimens were dead. The man had been reported.

The carabinieri continued the investigations and, in the retired house, discovered the animalskept in conditions incompatible with their nature: among the seized specimens toQuila of the steppes, yellow -blue ara, chinchillà, chorey of India, ram ram, bearded dragon, cocorite, golden hamster, taccola. All animals were entrusted to judicial custody to specialized structures of the provinces of Como and Lecco. The carabinieri of the Cites nucleus, specialized in checks on the international convention that protects protected animals, sanctions for 10 thousand euros contested to the pensioner.
