The entire week I looked at the news with extra attention because I expected the resignation of our migration minister Marjolein Faber. Not because she once announced large -scale border controls with a lot of bombing and then never got further than seven square bodies who occasionally arrested a adolescent on a fatbike with side wheels. She can just stay in front of that. Not even because with a cast-iron steadfastness every other week she would get the « strictest asylum policy ever », while it later turned out that her poorly strolled wood-rope features rattled on all sides and will never make it in a healthy parliament. According to Marjolein, this is part of the game.

No, it came last Friday when she was interviewed by the good-natured RTL Labrador Jaïr Ferwerda who asked her some school newspaper about Trump, Putin and Zensensky. After a little stuttering and bumbling, she walked away desperately to return almost immediately to the microphone of Ferwerda. Now with the announcement that Zensky is not democratically chosen. Then she disappeared into her cycle coffee in the Catshuis where she was probably laughed at by a number of colleagues. A number of colleagues. Not because of everyone because I fear that a large part of this second -hand stunting cabinet also believes that the Ukrainian president was not chosen. Who do I suspect of that? Perhaps she thought that was pretty strange because there were elections in Russia in the meantime. Very honest elections even. Putin had won it by a vast majority. So why could it be there and not in Ukraine?

Anyway, it was explained by some smart guys and she came to tell that she had made a mistake. The case was ready for her.

As far as she is concerned, but does she not understand that we are making a gigantic international flater? That we are now the risk of Europe. That we are laughing hard.

Not an illiterate secretary or a lightweight cleaning lady made this statement, but a real minister who represents the largest party in that country. An adult woman who has taken an oath with a friendly-looking bacon and bean king of the former natural gas state that is bursting with the money. That believes that in the geopolitics it can simply talk to in the big, angry world. This minister, I repeat minister, has no idea how that world works.

The most endearing was her pathetic smile after she had a blundering with Jaïr. Then she looked like a disturbed patient who has been tolerated in the shopping center for years. And her self -assured look when she came to recover the mistake was downright loud.

I wonder aloud: does she not have friends who explain to her with a cup of black filter coffee that she really has to stop? That this is pathetic. For the country, for her voters, but especially for herself. But also for her family and the street in which she lives.

And what does Geert say? In these cases he often wants to open his big mouth and ask some hard -to -hard questions. But now it's quiet. Silent.

Yesterday Marjolein seems to have said to a colleague: « But Zensky did invade Russia. »

That colleague then only called an ambulance.
