Salmonella is a bacterium that mainly occurs in raw meat. The possible symptoms of a salmonella contamination are fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea and occur at the latest two days after the contamination. The symptoms usually last four days to a week. Most people recover without specific treatment. Young children, pregnant women, people with reduced immunity and the elderly do run a higher risk of hospitalization.
Customers who have already eaten the products involved and show symptoms are therefore advised to consult a general practitioner. Anyone who brings the articles back to the store will receive their money back.
