Cocaine is worth about 6 million euros in Port of Piraeus, coming from Ecuador

Greek customs and police authorities have seized two cocaine loads in the Port of Piraeus in Athens.

Greek media reports that the drug was discovered after a search conducted on containers with loads declared with industrial and exotic products coming from Ecuador. Cocaine has been found by control with X -ray (scanner), but also two anti -drug, max and kybber dogs.

« Specifically, during controls at the 3rd Customs of Piraeus, with a self-propelled X-ray vehicle, a suspicious organic matter was discovered in the containers’ cooling.

In the first check, 67 packages of cocaine, 78 kilograms, were found. The value of the seized cocaine is estimated at around 3.51 million euros.

In the second case, during the physical search by customs inspectors and Hellenic police, 47 packages of cocaine were seized, weighing 53 kilograms and their value is estimated at about 2.39 million euros.

The total gross weight of cocaine reaches 131 kilograms and its value is 5.9 million euros. The investigation is still active and there is no information about criminal organizations that were waiting for it or its destinations.

Unlike other times, the soda -wrapped packages did not have logos or stamps listed or personified codes for the host hosts.
