Coca-Cola HBK Bulgaria and the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University « St. Kliment Ohridski » have celebrated a new important step in their long-term partnership with the opening of a special place for meetings, ideas and development of the student community. The new « Social Room » is part of the Faculty Business Club and is the first of its kind space within the university. The investment in improving the educational and social environment by the company is over BGN 50,000 and aims to provide students with an informal, inspiring environment for the exchange of ideas, mentoring, project work and club initiatives and events.

The shared space was officially opened in the presence of representatives of the academic community, of Coca-Cola HBK Bulgaria, as well as of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev-Dean of the Faculty of Economics. In his welcome, he emphasized the importance of the partnership and shared: « Student initiatives are an important part of the academic life at the Faculty of Economics. Thank you to our colleagues from the Business Club and our partners from Coca-Cola HBK Bulgaria for transforming a space in our building, making it a creative environment for our community. I expect our interaction to continue with other useful initiatives. »

The new Social Room is another successful activity within the partnership between the company and the faculty, which has been developing sustainably for several years and includes a number of projects aimed at the career and personal development of students. The area in the shared space is organized in three separate rooms – a specially designated place for board games, project work and exchange of ideas, a Chill area with rest and unloading jigs, as well as a cozy place for learning and communication in a free and pleasant atmosphere.

« It is a real joy for us from the business club to see how an idea becomes a reality, thanks to the common efforts and support of partners such as Coca -Cola HBK Bulgaria, without which it would not be possible. We believe that Social Room will become a favorite place for students – not only for relaxation and fun, partnership Adriana Adriana Branicheva added.

In the past year, as part of the #youthempowered program, Coca-Cola HBK Bulgaria and the Faculty of Economics, they have implemented a joint « financial academy », which provided the opportunity for dozens of young people to acquire valuable knowledge and practical experience in finance and business with the help of experts from the company. For eight years, #youthempowered has encouraged the personal and professional development of young people in Bulgaria, giving them practical skills and inspiration for a successful start. Thanks to the dedication to hundreds of experts volunteers from the Coca-Cola CBK team, over 31,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 26 from all over the country have successfully undergone training on key topics since the beginning of the program to the present.
