Wilson was born in Hawthorne, California in 1942. Together with his younger brothers Carl and Dennis, his cousin Mike Love and his friend Al Jardine, he founded a band. They became one of the country’s largest rock bands: the Beach Boys.
Wilson had a kind of dementia and was under guardianship. Last year, his long -time wife died at the age of 77. Together the couple had adopted five children, and Wilson also had two children from a previous marriage.
