CNN poll: Significant drop in Trump’s rating in the first hundred days
US President Donald Trump’s rating has dropped significantly in the first 100 days of his term, according to the results of the latest CNN poll (CNN).
Only 41 percent of Americans approve the way Trump has ruled, the lowest support in the past 70 years since President Dwight Eisenhower’s mandate.
While 22 percent of respondents said they were convinced that Trump was working right, the lowest percentage ever, and 45 percent said they did not support him.
Support for Trump since March has dropped by four percent, and compared to February the decline is seven percent.
Trump has seen a significant drop in rating in women and South Americans.
The survey shows division by party affiliation. As many as 86 percent of Republicans support Trump, and 93 percent of Democrats are not satisfied with his work.
The support of independent voters is 31 %, the lowest level as in the first term.
According to the poll, public confidence in Trump’s ability to deal with the most pressing issues is also declining. Only 39 percent of respondents said they were pleased with how Trump handled the economy, which is a fellow five percent compared to March.
Confidence in dealing with inflation is reduced by nine percent to 35 percent, as is the support for customs measures.
Only about 52 percent of respondents express confidence in his management of the economy, a decrease by 13 percent compared to the December poll by CNN.
At the same time, the level of those who approve his management of the federal government – 42 percent, and confidence in his election is reduced to 46 percent.
The survey results show that the majority of Americans (57 %) have estimated that Trump’s approach to the presidency unnecessarily risks state security, while 43 percent see this as a necessary shock to Washington.
The CNN survey was conducted from April 17th to 24th with 1,678 adults in the United States.
